Leads!

Just bought a hedge trimmer ,why is the lead so short!
The extension lead were you plug it in is now hanging on my shoulder!
Any suggestions!

Best to buy an RCD plug in socket to plug into the mains for your extension lead, to make it safe if you accidentally cut through the cable.

Correct Ollie, although if it is a relatively new property, there should be RCDs protecting each circuit.  I usually make a loop from the cable to the device, then make another loop from the mains cable and tie them together with a cable tie or two. Make sure that they are both tight and then you should be ok.
