PAYPAL
« on: 06 Oct, 2020, 02:00:43 pm »
Paypal possible spoof email. I have just received an email from Paypal saying my account has been suspended. Contacted Paypal who advise me there is no problem.
Changed my password and reset the bank account details.

I get an email from them every other week and I haven't had an account for 16 years!

Similar but I get one every month or so. Haven't used them for years!

I still use them but when I get these sort of emails from them I can tell by the sender's address they are a scam so simply delete them without opening.

I just received one, something about a phone number verification via Apps.

I forwarded it to spoof@paypal.co.uk and told them my phone has 10 numbers and is only used to speak to people, no camera, no apps, no nothing else. Within 30 seconds I've received a case number and a message about their help service and contact details.

I shall do that next time, Drax.
I was also sent a message from Santander telling me my credit card had been cancelled and was asking me to make contact by email.  I have not had a credit card for 10 + years, so I deleted it.  I used my debit card no problem several times during this week...
