VACCINATION PLAN
There will be a meeting of the European Regulating Authority on Monday 21st when it is expected that they will give approval for the Pfizer vaccine.
Andalucia health authority has announced that it has planned to receive 195,000 doses of the vaccine.
They have appointed Bidafarma to distribute the vaccine to care homes, hospitals and health centres, under the control of the Regional Police.
Health professionals started training yesterday on how to handle the vaccine, which is different from normal vaccines.
They have purchased 25 million syringes.
They have announced that they expect to vaccinate 70% of the population of Andalucia by the summer.
However this is an estimate.
In the UK, despite political statements, the NHS has informed the National Audit Office that it expects to only vaccinate 25 million people (less than 50%) in 2021.
