You think COVID is dangerous? AI discussion...
« on: 12 Dec, 2021, 06:01:20 pm »
According to the BBC Click program today the UN is about to start (tomorrow Monday) gathering information, data and recommendations for limiting Artificial Intelligence in warfare. The thinking so far is that the UK and US will ask for, or veto, most of the measures arguing that Russia and China will not comply with them.

I've been checking a few details mentioned and it's scary - believe me I've been involved in computer technology for longer than I care to remember and this is FRIGHTENING!!

Quote from: New York Times
A.I. Drone May Have Acted on Its Own in Attacking Fighters, U.N. Says[/b]
A United Nations report suggested that a drone, used against militia fighters in Libya’s civil war, may have selected a target autonomously.

and the ultimate horror is in this video "slaughterbots" which shows how they work and after 3 minutes goes into supposed scenarios - the first 3 minutes are the interesting ones.

25 million dollars will target 700,000 people. How much did they spend on fighting COVID already?

Have a nice day  :dunno:
