From 5th October.  Once again slightly warmer last year, particularly at night

No rain either year

The fact it is becoming cooler over night is very noticeable first thing in the morning now.  I set off in a T-shirt to go to the market in Purchena but turned the car around and got a thin fleece to put on.  It is still on now but I am inside.  It is far warmer outside now!

The lower overnight temperatures have taken the heat out of the pool and the sun during the day is not enough to bring it up again

I used to hate autumn in UK as I knew it was the precursor to winter and I was a Sad sufferer in cold months.  However, here, autumn and spring are my favourite seasons but I still do not like December/January which seem to always be the coldest and July/August which are usually the hottest.  If it were to stay like this all year, I would be happy....

Succumbed... heating turned on.  Lovely to wake up to a warm house.  I guess the cats will be sleeping indoors now

My lap has been deserted now in favour of the cat bed in front of the gas fire.  This will  be the first winter when KatyKat has not needed to fight off the 2 Burmese in order to claim the best  spot.

I've heard the saying that cats leave pawprints on your heart but not that they also leave them on your work.

From 19th - warmer last year

I had been wondering about the low rainfall.  Here is a comparison back as far as my stats go.  Blue figure indicate some weeks rainfall amounts are missing but none are more than 3

2016 looks very dry but it made up for it with a very wet December
