At minus 9, Somontín recorded the coldest night on our records

My first winter here ( 2004/2005), I did have minus 10, followed by minus 12, when cement was freezing to the blocks as workmen were building an extension.  I sent them home...  At that stage I did wonder what I'd done, moving to a mountain, as I'd never had temps that low on the farm back in UK.

I remember that winter!!

Colder this year but not as bad as last week

Judi, I reckon anyone who was here that winter will not have forgotten it.  I was barely able to heat my living room to much above 10C as no one had lived in it as it was a Spanish summer holiday Casa with no insulation.

Judi_bk

Very similar to last year

Checking my plants yesterday in the warmth outside, I've noticed I have lost many of my plants due to the severe weather 2 weeks ago. I will leave them in the ground and wait to see if there is any life from below ground...

Sheilav who does the Partaloa stats has been in UK and was due back yesterday when she would have sent the stats from her weather station.  BA had other ideas so she is stuck in IK for now

I hope she can soon come home.  Is she able to stay with family while she waits?

What are the 'server is temporarily busy' stickers all about?

Judi_bk

Yes with her daughter.  Apparently Heathrow was a nightmare and BA had no more hotels available.   It was the baggage handling computor.  Not sure about the blue things but they have gone now...blame Russia ;)

frankie

Not what she would have wanted as she was all geared up to come home...
They were a bit weird...
