Do cats get eczema or psoriasis?

(1/2) > >>

Judi_bk:
Zebedee has a very messy looking leg.  It looks lime eczema but the leg is a little swollen.  It doesn't hurt him go touch it.  Think it is vets tomorrow

Roscoe:
Yes, I had a cat with eczema many years ago, he was also prone to fleas as he befriended  a hedgehog.   He was retarded, back legs longer than his front legs
found on a Friday 13th, so called Friday, could  climb like a squirrel, but couldn't  get back down.  A very affectionate boy.  He always looked as if he was walking on glass.  Sadly he died from eating  chocolate, the quality street tin was left off one night and he raided it.

Judi_bk:
Bits of that sound like Zebedee.  When he runs it looks asthough his back is trying to overtake his front.  He is alovely boy but cries and moans a lot.

frankie:
Yes, cats do get exema and also ringworm (humans can catch it from them).  Usually though it is a reaction to fleas.  I had a cat lose all his 'trousers' after the rabbits he used to catch gave him their fleas - retribution?
When in doubt - Vet visit!

cagzok:
How is Zebedee now? I hope it's all cleared up,did he have to go to the vet?
