something to look forward to???

Just checked the forecast for this weekend and through next week and now wish I hadn't!  VERY heavy rain from tomorrow night into sunday morning, then even more rain during sunday and on and off all through the week.  I DO want rain but why does it all have to come at once? In order to make sure it will sink into the ground where it's needed, I shall have to water my garden this evening, so it is not one huge area set like concrete.

Shame it has to happen now, on Tuesday we have friends arriving from New Zealand for two weeks, last summer there was very wet and winter has been wet too so was hoping to show then some Spanish sun

None up here this morning, Judi but there was a fair bit in the run off into rain barrel, so must have rained during the night.  When I drove down to Olula earlier, the roads down there were wet but those in Purchena were bone dry! Obviously very localised...

Looking at the rain radar map it's looking as if it may pass us by.  It' seems to have divided and travelling from east to west,  across the North and south of Andalucia.

New rain gauge is being christened with a vengeance.  I emptied it out this morning as it was overflowing, which I estimate to be around 55+ ml-  It's still
filling up now and supposed to continue through the day.  Ive also divertedwater off the roof inro my 2 rainbarrels-  Theey are now draining into the water 
channel outside my garden.  I could have done with this a month ago...

I've just checked my rain alarm and lightning strikes, and although rain will continue, it appears that the worst is over-  I will be getting rain every day neext week, though...
