I've been working in my garden this morrning and after a while, I became aware of some cars with 'meaty' engines going up to the Village.  Turns out they were all classic cars.  On the principle that what goes up must come down and there only being one road up to the village, I carried on with my gardening. When I heard the first one coming  down I parked a chair on the kerb and sat  watching.  As I waved to them they waved back and tooted with a variety of horns.  It's many, many years since I last heard Mazerati horns.  I lost count after 30 of them.  What a wonderful way to spend my B'Day.  I'm sure it was organised for my benefit!
