Prorogation of Parliament
« on: 11 Sep, 2019, 11:40:07 am »
Boris Johnson’s five-week suspension of parliament has been ruled unlawful by the highest appeal court in Scotland.

In a unanimous decision in Edinburgh’s Court of Session, three judges ruled that the prorogation was unconstitutional, but no order was given to reverse it ahead of a full hearing at the Supreme Court in London next Tuesday.

An interesting verdict. Wonder whether it will conflict with that of the  Supreme Court in London next week

Lawful or not, he’s done it now, and what a ridiculous farce the whole thing was! 😱

Apparently No 10 has suggested to the Sun (yes I know it is not the beacon of newspaper reporting) that the Scottish judges are politically biased.

That's not going to win him back any votes over the border at the next General Election. I should imagine the opposition parties in Scotland will keep reminding voters of what contempt Johnson holds the Scottish courts and legal system.

Despite contrary comments they have now accepted the  " evidence " and that there was of course a " plot"
Another defeat and a kick in the teeth for Boris.
All going spiffingly .
