Christmas goose
« on: 25 Oct, 2019, 07:27:19 pm »
Decided to order one from Coviran, great fun. I was at the meat counter getting some liver and just thought I would ask.  The butcher is a lovely lady but speaks no English and I couldn't remember the name for goose.   I tried saying in Spanish like a duck but bigger.  Then I drew one, she guessed partridge then ostrich (how much stuffing would I need?) Then she called one of the younger girls who translated on her phone.  Ganso.  Goosy goosy ganso!  We were all laughing.

She is getting one for me
