OMG!!! Snow at the coast
There was some on Teta but it soon melted apart from one small area which faces slightly to the NW and is only visible when the dying sun shins on it...

From here you can see snow on the hills further up the valley and our river is still flowing quite strongly

It's still flowing fast through Purchena.  I cannot work out where it goes further down and presumably, joins with the others in Almanzora valley...

I was surprised last week to see the Albox rambla dry and in La Cinta all the water coming from the direction of Almanzora.  I was told that in the big floods in the 70s it was raining in Chirivel not Albox and that is where their water comes from

Maybe we could organise a 'welly' walk and follow the water back to it's source...

If you go down there now we'd never see you again.  It is flowing very quickly

I did see it this morning s I passed.  It is flowing quite strongly, same as at Purchena.  Purchena riverbed is narrower than past La Cinta, so possible deeper.  From the look of the forecast, I doubt it'll be drying any time soon :rain:
It means I do not need to water the garden.  Every cloud has a silver lining, I suppose

April - no surprise it was the wettest.  Can't get over the difference between Palomares and Vera Playa!!!

I'm still finding it hanging around up here, despite hosing it several times.  Not going to bother now as we'll doubtless get more when kids go back to school in September.  Just as well I have a 'natural' garden...
