The Andrew Neil interviews
« on: 29 Nov, 2019, 12:02:49 pm »
So far the party leaders interviewed have found the chair uncomfortable, so will Boris turn up ? From his original appointment alone as PM the list is endless of his shenanigans, yet the polls appear to show his lead growing. With the knowledge that he will win no matter what he says or does, will he appear ?

From the Guardian yesterday.....If Boris Johnson is bottling out of cross-examination by Andrew Neil, maybe to give an impression of impartiality, rather than an empty chair, the BBC should arrange for Neil to interview Johnson’s Spitting Image puppet.......The Tories then taking on the BBC after channel 4 and that ice sculpture...ermmm. I would love it if "said" puppet was on the chair. Boris beware !

We would get a more sensible interview from the Muppet than the real Boris, with a lot less bluster, bullshit and lies also. Problem is that if he does do the interview, makes an absolute clown of himself there are still those that will vote for him and his party. Sadly this is a reflection not just on the voting public but more on the opposition political parties standing against the toxic Tories...
What a mess UK politics are in...

There would certainly be far fewer lies from a puppet!

I understand there were quite a number of complaints after Andrew Neil's interview with Corbyn on the grounds that he wasn't allowing Corbyn to answer his questions.  Either I was watching the wrong interview or I had mistaken Neil to be the Leader (?) of the Labour party.  All I saw was him refusing to reply to questions being put as he was going to give his prepared electioneering speech come hell or high water irrespective of any question Neil put.

I am finding these interviews absolutely fascinating.  Perhaps I need to get out more?

Frankie, did you see Andrew Marr this morning ? From the moment Boris cited Labour in his reply, Andrew had him on the ropes. Boris could not resist "let´s get Brexit done" in an earlier question he could not answer, and his failure to actually say sorry gave Andrew Marr more incentive to tie him down. Boris did say at the end he has no problem being interviewed by anyone called Andrew ! Not sure he will be around next week though after dark !

Yes, I did and was not surprised that Andrew Neil had him on the ropes....
I have always voted Conservative since I was of an age to do so but recently I have not felt they represent my wishes.  Difficult time...

I have never voted Tory and my politics are fairly far left but I do feel the Conservative paryy have lurched very far right.  The Buĺlngdon Boys only represent the super rich and privileged.  Maggie looks like a socialist compared to this lot

When in the UK I normally voted for the candidate who offered the best solutions to local issues. Sometimes they even solved them if elected, next time around another person if they hadn't, it usually worked.

National politics are a different matter.. see the way the Arboleas team swopped political allegiance so they would get provincial help if they were in the same party

Great end to the Farage interview with Andrew Neil taunting Boris to come out and see him !
