« on: 13 Feb, 2020, 07:15:41 am »
I’m still getting security updates on my acer gamer despite Microsoft supposedly stopping them on 14/1/2020
Anyone know why....fake news or what  :undecided:

I've got Win XP on one of the laptops which still receives regular updates despite M$ ceasing "support" many years ago.  Don't worry about it

I won’t in fact I’m chuffed. I seem to remember Microsoft saying this a number of times. My guess is if 10% of 7 users panic and go out a buy a new laptop with 10 on it Microsoft have accomplished their goal ie sold more stuff.
