There is a thread on Facebook about the no 1 in the charts on your 12th Birthday this is mine. What's yours

Young Girl - I suppose that is quite appropriate really!

The Young Ones by Cliff.
Not quite how I see myself nowadays.

Not sure what it was on my 12th Birthday as my memory doesn't go back that far.
However do know what it was on the year I was born as my mother used to remind me frequently every time she heard it, it was 'White Christmas' by Bing Crosby.

Was that 1962/3, jimmymac? I shall never forget waiting for the ambulance to arrive as contractions became more frequent. My ex had trudged through the snow to get to the phone box to call them. We had no phone in the house and did not own a car.
Little bu**er went back to sleep once I was at the hospital and waited for another 12 hours before making an appearance.
I cannot find the link for finding out what was top of the 'Hit Parade' the year I was born?
