Title: Rain anyone?
Post by: frankie on 09 Jul, 2020, 11:44:29 am
There was a bit of thunder up here last night and I discovered 3ml in my rain gauge this morning.  Did anyone else get any?  My car windscreen was covered in the red dust from Sahara.

I intended getting my car washed this morning but the queue was too long and it looked as everyone had the same amount of dust on as mine!  I may try again tomorrow.

I did hear/see the helicopters coming down the valley so knew there was a fire somewhere.  Glad no one was injured.
Yesterday, driving behind a car I saw them throw a lighted cigarette out of the window.  I was able to run it over.  Are people Mad?

Not mad but stupid.  Apparently the lightening started a small campo fire in El Chopo and hit an electricity pylon

I always know when there is a fire somewhere as the helicopter base is near Seron and they pass below my house on their way down the Almanzora Valley.
