and LLanos in the names of places is plains, flat tracts of land.  Los Llanos, LLanos del Peral

I vaguely remember looking up the word in my Spanish dictionary a few years back and not being able to find it.  Just checked it in my newer one and it's there... Now if only I could remember why I wanted to know it! :undecided:
