Thank god she doesent want to go back to her Irish roots.

This is a Nations League competition Frankie.

As Europe commemorates D-Day and the sacrifices made, just so idiots like that can make an embarrassment of their country. It's disgusting. They should be rounded up, photographed, banned from Portugal forever, then made clean up the mess they created.

Think the English  hooligan or Thug started long before Brexit or the EU.
You cant stick that one on them.?  conscription is the answer.

I think I can Raymondo.

I would bet a pound to a penny, that if any of those thugs bothered to vote, they would vote OUT, because it goes along with their false sense of English superiority and  past colonial glory. Sentiment expressed by very many, no dealer brexshiters.

Football fan violence seemed to diminish in the 2000's.
I wonder why that was?
Perhaps it was because the government of the time was seriously investing in children`s, youth and community services ... and then that all came to an end, and society loses it´s cohesion!

By the way ... did you do conscription?
If so, do you think it made you a better person?

Ukulelee, you may have misunderstood my post. I was just pointing out that there were thugs and football hooligans in the Sixties long before the EU. I meant you cant blame hooliganism as was seen in Portugal last nite on the EU  or on brexit.
It is and was always was an English thing. Doesent really happen to the same degree with Welsh fans ,Scottish fans or Irish fans. Doesent also seem to happen inSpain to the same degree . You may tell me why.   I wont comment on your question on conscription as that stuff is for the other forum even if i did bringit up. My  Mistake.
By the way I am a far better person than most in Portugal last nite.
I wont get involved in any more discussion on the subject as it seems to  ignite feelings in some people. Good luck to England intheir game.
And they are one up with 8 mimutes left  so maybe that will appease the guys in Portugal and elsewhere to accept football as just a game.
