Title: Heads Up
Post by: Roscoe on 12 Oct, 2020, 09:36:08 pm
The usual collection of foodstuffs cannot go ahead at the supermarkets, so Caritas are asking for donations for the needy.  Donations can be made at Girasole, florist at the side of Mercadona.  Dried goods, nappies, rice, pasta, pate, jam, marmalade etc.  Just pop an extra item in your weekly shop.  Just to survive is hard enough, Christmas could be cancelled.

I know that, Ive already told the kids christmas is cancelled

7 months of 70% wages has meant we are in a difficult situation. So many families are in the same boat if not worse off. Its sad how one small virus can decimate the economies of so many countries

Don't know how you can describe it as a small virus, about one and a half million dead so far.

The fact is that Christmas will NOT be cancelled, it will still be on 25th December whether Santa exists or not.. whatever you are doing and whatever your circumstances enjoy the holiday season without worrying about the material items.

Yea as long as they dont cut the electricity off!!!

Im not someone who gives my kids much during the year. Christmas and Birthdays are celebrated and they always have something they  need, something they want, something to read something to wear.

the one thing they really want isnt happening, a visit from their aunt and cousin
