Very conspicuous by his absence this week, particularly the anniversary of the D-day landings and the Queens official birthday.

He retired from public duty quite some time ago it was well publicised.

At aged 98 I reckon he has earned his retirement.  Not everyone has the apparent stamina of the Queen.  I am over 20 years younger than she is and I could not stand for so long while the troops paraded in front of her...
