I did not understand that, is it a cat thing?

Cats use food/eating as a psychological weapon.  Dogs just eat

I know exactly what it means having been owned by cats for over 50 years!  I am waiting for KatyKat to suddenly decide she no longer likes Gourmet satchets as I buy once a month and in bulk.  I suspect she is biding her time until I have bought the next lot from the Corner Shop as I cannot get it up this end of the valley...

I get it now, thanks. Although our dog used to like Winalot tins of food and went right off them, having had them for 9 or 10 years.
Now he loves the sausage shaped tubes of dog food sold at Mercadona. We tried Lidl and Coviran tins and he wasn't too impressed.

His favourite food is wiggly worms and maggots with a bit of sauce on them..
Spoiler: RevealHide
spaghetti or rice and our leftover: bolognaise, curry etc.
