I've just been told that we are to be in lockdown again tomorrow. Does anyone know if this is correct?
I have just checked and it is semi correct. Bars must now shut early and people only allowed out for essential shopping etc but it is not a full lockdown. I found it in the Costa Almeria news site.

Hi Frankie, local municipalities locked down from midnight tonight for 11 days. Bars, restaurants and non essential shops to close at 6.00.pm. Curfew from 10.00.pm-7.00.am. Hope that helps.

Yes, that is what I read. Thanks for clarifying Billy1... I reckon it is not a surprise as cases are rising. Maybe if some of the people who wear a mask under the chin and wore them properly, we can all drink in bars until the wee small hours of the morning. :grin:

Frankie, lets hope so! This will be re assessed on 23rd. If everyone behaves perhaps restrictions will be lessened.

I've just had another conversation with the Spanish lady who told me of the new measures and she seems to think I cannot go to another village now, even though it could still b in the same Province. Help!!! I have a vet visit on wednesday with my cat who needs lazer treatment and it is in Albox, which is out of my area....

Frankie, from tomorrow you cannot travel out of Arboleas or Albox etc. No travelling for example from Arboleas to Albox. If you phone your vet, they should be able to email you paperwork needed to travel. I did this during last lockdown with no problems..

You should be OK as long as you take confirmation that you're going to the vets - it's for medical reasons.

Thank you both. I will need to go to vet to get paperwork to say it is necessary to travel (I do not have a printer). I did this last time and was only challenged twice and had to produce it..

Get vet to email confirmation you have an appointment. I have 2 dogs needing blood tests before 25 November, one for leishmaniasis and the other to check his pancreas is still functioning normally.

Frankie you only need whatsapp or sent to your email address and if you are stopped just show them your appointment on your mobile.

Yes, Harsh but sadly, true. I can sometimes access whatsapp but it is usually by accident. I also have a problem finding messages. I really could not rely upon either. When I get a call, I have no idea how to accept it but once found I then have the challenge of ringing back. Why can we not bring back carrier pidgeon, I'm sure I could cope better with that.. :undecided:

Have you got WhatsApp icon on your home screen Frankie? Call the vet give them your mobile number and ask to send a WhatsApp message.

Roscoe I would not recognise a WhatsApp icon if it jumped up and hit me in the face and what is a home screen? I do know how to send messages now though!

Can you find someone to sit with you and take you through the basics. Your home screen is what you should see when you switch your mobile on.

You need to come and have a coffee with me Frankie.
I am the resident android help person, I even have peeps coming to me to set their phones up.
Also on standby for the in laws and their android box.
Im around most days in the Rambla after 1.30 if you want me to help you I can do a couple of things to help you

well if she has to come in for the cat cant see why she cant stop for a coffee it is a long way after all.

WOW!!! Thank you so much, Clare. I have to admit that Judi has spent a lot of time trying to instill the basics in me and once even tried cut and paste. It all seemed easy until I tried on my own. It all goes in one ear and out the other...
I am currently being bombarded by a new system which it wants me to change to and now I cannot even access my emails.
So the home screen is the one that comes up with pretty pictures of different places in the World?

Home screen on your mobile phone not your pc
its where the pretty icons are for the different apps

But I do not use my phone for emails, just my laptop! It really is hit and miss as to what I can access on my phone by me tapping everything. :shocked:
