I went to Mercadona and Lidl early (nice to see you Roscoe) and both were very quiet and well stocked. It felt much safer than crowded, cramped Covidran

Over the years and especially now, I have discovered the best time to shop is between 3 and 4 pm. By that time the Spanish are having siesta and the shelves have been restocked. I hate shopping but the fact the shops at that time are almost empty of people, makes it almost bearable...
Does anyone know what the new supermarket next to Lidl is Like?

I have been in but wasn't very impressed. Spirits are cheap apparently. I don't buy them very often so don't know,

Frankie, some good stuff. Lots of English brands if that’s what people want, the vegetables are good, and some other things like sauces etc. Tinned products
Pretty good selection of breads and cakes. . A cheap Rioja @€1.49, red and white, tastes ok too.
