la nevisca - snow flurry, light snowfall
Spanish example: A 5.100 metros alcanzamos finalmente el glaciar; en este punto el viento se mantiene y la nevisca se torna más fuerte.
English example: At 5,100 meters we finally reached the glacier; at that point the wind kept up and the light snowfall became heavier.

I think too late now . 2003, last day of February, living up in Oria, it had been a lovely day but it started snowing early evening , by 10 o'clock it was like a scene out of the shining
