The EU has announced that from January the Covid Vaccination Certificate will expire after 9 months.
Currently it lasts for 12 months.
This means that the Certificate must be updated with the 3rd booster jab.
Therefore many current certificates will expire at the end of December.
So everyone should get their booster and download the updated certificate.
I can confirm that my Vaccination Certificate downloaded from the App now shows my third Booster jab.
In Andalucia the only change to restrictions currently proposed is that the Covid Certificate will have to be shown to gain access to medical and health centres (although this will have to be approved by the TSJA, which is not guaranteed).
However in some regions they are requiring the certificate to access other venues.
You will probably have seen the latest regulation that UK citizens (not UK citizens resident in Spain) will from 1st December have to show a Covid Certificate showing a double vaccination.
It is not clear whether this will be subject to the EU 9 month validity, but it is reasonable to assume that this will apply from January.

Thanks Roger, we have had our booster and will now look to see if we can download now or in the next couple of days. So pleased we live here where restrictions are adhered to unlike the UK. Watched the news tonight and people still do not wear masks when they are in crowds, unbelievable.. When will they learn?
-
They won't learn, until it's too late, and even then...!

My son in Germany cannot understand why we were not automatically given certificates at same time as the jab. as they do there. I am not savvy when it comes to using phone for things lie this and I am not alone as the age of the population in the villages is probably quite high and they will not have access to a smartphones.

We had ours by post after the second jab
-
Did you ask for it? I've had nothing.
-
I received a certificate by post a few weeks after my second jab - my husband, who had his jab at the same time as me, is still waiting for his by post!
-
I didn't know they were being sent out. I've had booster as well....
-
No I didn't ask for it, just arrived
-
The junta said at the time that they would send a paper version by post to people over 65.
Most received it
It's easy to access it on the App.
You just need to enter your an number and your nie.
Then your mobile phone number they have in the health system.
They send you a text with the access code.
Then up pops your covid certificate.
Clic on download and it puts it into your phone memory.
But being pre digital I also emailed it to me, and printed off a copy.

Did the same today Roger and will print out a hard copy as well.
