What was the very worst present you were ever given on the 25th and why?
Mine was a large doll (I subsequently learned my father had won it in a raffle), which walked and talked! As anyone who knows me will tell you I HATE dolls with faces, so to have one which also talked in an automated voice really freaked me out. It was ages before I didn't wake up yelling after nightmares. Needless to say, it was given to a more deserving person and was the first my parents knew of my phobia which remains to this day...

I remember the ones that delighted me but none that I hated. The delights were, a walking doll, a hand made red wooden sledge with my name written on it, a second hand bike that Dad had lovingly restored and painted my favourite colour, the hair curler that all my friends wanted
