Checking my bank statement I noticed a payment of 11.71euros. After a brief moment I realised it was the 10 pound xmas payment from the Govt! I can remember when my parents first got this and it was, at that time, quite a useful sum and did contribute to the xmas fare. Now it'll just about pay for a cup of coffee and a tostada here and even less in UK. Why hasn't it been rising in line with inflation since the 70's, which is when I think it was first introduced?

If it did rise with inflation, I think it would be just over £16 now. That sounds a bit better.

Wolfie, that'd just about pay the postage for our xmas cards to UK :cheesy:

Stay out of the Brit bars, coffee and a tostada is 2 euros, 2.50 if you want cheese and ham on it.
