1.  Esperé más de 20 minutos, pero no pasó ni un solo autobús; finalmente tomé un taxi.

I waited for more than 20 minutes, but not a single bus passed by; I finally took a taxi.

2.  Ayer pasamos el día jugando en la nieve que recién había caido.

Yesterday we spent the day playing in the snow that had just fallen.
