There are friends with whom, even though you haven't seen them in a long time, it's easy to start a relationship again.

2.  El futbolista se lesionó nuevamente la rodilla; es posible que haya terminado su carrera.

The football player injured his knee again; it's possible his career is over.

I normally use de nuevo for again.
