Does anyone know if the man in the corner of the square in Albox still does repairs?

Thank you Roscoe

I took a bracelet in there late on friday to be collected on monday.  One of the links had broken and needed soldering.  When I collected it I told him it had been bought for me around 10 years ago and it had only left my wrist during necessity at hospital visits.  I told him his father had sold it back then and that he had been a very helpful person.¡ whereupon the 4 or 5 € charge suddenly dissolved away.  SS her held the door open for me he said he looked forward to seeing me in 10 years time.  As I drove home it suddenly hit me that he'd been taking the micky in view of my current age... Don't you just love the Spanish?

My son who lives in Germany brought his watch to this guy and saved him a lot of money.  Then my son then took his Tag Heuer into him for.
repair.  To send this back to the factory would have cost 1000€, but he sorted it for 450€.  My opinion is why would you spend all this money for a watch?

I used to go there for batteries, I was lucky if they lasted 6 months so I went to the new shop opposite Euronics, 5 years later it's still ticking over. Chinese batteries 50c retail - he charges 3 euros  (or more)

I also went for a repair to a Seiko automatic self winding watch, the old guy (father?) had a go and wrecked it, all he was supposed to do was re-glue the gold rectangle back onto the face that surrounded the date. It took them 3 days and came back a right mess.

I'll never go there again!

Obviously you can only speak as you find, Drax.  I've only ever had good experiences from them.  The 'Son' does end to be a little dour and unsmilling but
somewhere under that, there is a sense of humour..
