Title: Finger prints
Post by: frankie on 07 Jul, 2019, 01:40:13 pm
I had a new double glazed window installed yesterday and there are finger prints on the glass.  I have tried using 3Bruja's window cleaning stuff and alcohol but neither work.  Don't think it is putty but a clear sticky substance.  Anyone have any ideas what I can use to remove them?

White spirit, or vinegar?

may be glue based, try acetone or nail polish remover

Hopefully they are on the outside surface and not between the layers

I am so glad I did not see your post before I got rid of it all Drax.  That hadn't occurred to me....
The acetone got rid of it finally...
Thanks everyone
