Title: New Mercadona Albox
Post by: Roscoe on 29 Nov, 2023, 09:46:01 pm
Went today, very big and airy, new products, overall impressed, but the emergency exits, which there where 3, 2 where blocked off by trollies!  Disabled parking not near the lift.  Needs to improve.  Greater range of products and some prices are down, just frustrated I couldn't find some products, better luck next time.

Not busy at all when we went at 1:00pm Judi.
Thought the parking spaces were a bit tight.
As Roscoe said, we couldn’t find some things that were in the other store.
A lot more choice in the fresh foods section though.
Will take a bit of getting used to.

We went today, very similar layout to the Huercal Overa one, it appears the exit barrier works on number plate recognition and was working well with the barrier opening automatically until the car in front of us, when it failed and took some time to get the barrier to work - noticed the car was on Brit plates so maybe the system does not recognise foreign plates.  Once they had been let out us and the cars behind sailed through.
