Looking at forecast for next week - monday night into tuesday, morning we have a strong chance of thunder, lightning and heavy rain. Am I the only one hoping this will happen? I'm quite happy to forgo a night's sleep for this. The ground up here is either set like concrete or dust.

It would be lovely Frankie, unfortunately the percentage of us getting anything decent has dropped. Hey we can always hope though.
A day of nice steady rain would be perfect.

I'll second that, rain glorious rain yes please!
-
I'm considering looking up on youtube and find an indian rain dance anything for some rain

Did anywhere get rain? We didn't here in Terreros, although the clouds look a little threatening, but they did last night too. 🙄
-
Not a drop so far and the clouds seem to be clearing. All the windows open this morning though, and a lovely cool breeze going through the house.
-
Nothing here either
-
Lower temperatures but higher humidity rainfall would be welcome!
-
It would be welcome, but looking at the forecast, after today, big bright suns and no clouds!

In Limaria at 01:40 this early morning we got about 3 or 4 minutes which was quite heavy; since then a few bits of spits and spots which are currently persisting down with the passing clouds.. not enough to water the plants though

Lucky you Drax! Nothing up on my mountain
Dead to think what my water bill will be this quarter, as my garden is soaking it up....
-
Oooh! Just noticed on the rain warning weather site that a large swathe of rain is moving up from Almeria! If only.....
-
That’s what they said last week, so I’ll believe it when I see it.

Remember September 2012 ??? Be careful what you wish for.!!

Crikey, yes! Incredible to think it was 7 years ago! :headshake:
-
Did anybody get ANY rain?
-
Just a few spits and spots up here - 7:30(ish)
-
It just turned rather wet up here.. flippin' eck, not much of a cloud, didn't go dark or anything then the heavens burst...

Indeed Drax. Very quick low pressure areas can quickly occur leading to a depression.
Yes, Frankie seven years ago the low depression circled over parts of Almeria. I remember my colleagues near the Palms in Urcal nearly lost their lives.
One street in Madrid had cars going down a street on hailstones. The Balearic islands got hit today.

I understand that locally, Malaga, Granada and Murcia had loads (Karen says she had none near Murcia, though!). I'm still waiting a for a little shower - please...
