Recap of Boris Johnson's first day in parliament as Prime Minister:
○ First Prime Minister ever to lose their first parliamentary vote (328-301)
○ Loses control of the parliamentary order paper.
○ Roundly battered from all sides, with Ken Clarke, Jeremy Corbyn, and Ian Blackford of the SNP getting particularly hard hits in.
○ Scottish court presented with evidence that Johnson and Cummings were secretly plotting to shut down parliament as they lied to the public that they had no such plans.
○ A Tory MP gets up and crosses the chamber in the middle of Johnson's speech!
○ Johnson's pick as Leader of the Commons Jacob Rees-Mogg roundly condemned for his arrogant and contemptuous behaviour.
○ Apparently drunk Dominic Cummings yells a load of rattled gibberish at Jeremy Corbyn in a parliamentary corridor.
○ Johnson trying to call a snap election amidst the chaos, but highly unlikely to be able to deliver it unless he takes No Deal By Default off the table first.
○ Throws Ken Clarke, Philip Hammond (Tory Chancellor until a few weeks ago), Winston Churchill's grandson, and 18 others out of the Tory party!
○ Tory-DUP majority collapses from +1 to -43.
He's only been in the job a few weeks and he's making rigidly inflexible, profoundly incompetent, and miles out of her depth Theresa May look like a pillar of strength and stability in comparison!

That sums it up Annie. It was like a Carry on Film. Doesent Rees - Mogg look and act just like Kenneth Williams. !!
The border down the Irish Sea is getting closer and no need for a Backstop and then deal can be done.
Let the DUP sink or swim on their own for a change.
Cant wait for todays episode , better than Corrie.

Scottish court just threw out the "evidence" and declared the "secret plot" to be legal

You got it right there Annie. They are a laughing stock around the world. You couldn't predict what will happen next.
Raymondo, I have noticed that Ms Foster hasn't had much to say today.🤔
-
Soon with any luck Foster and her " Union " will have even less to say.
Their views are no longer tolerated or accepted by the majority in NI including business people in her own party whose livelyhoods she is destroying.
Im still amazed that some members here and quite a few around Arboleas still back Boris and a no deal scenario which would cripple the UK and reduce their pensions even further and create difficulty for them with medical services in Spain and in travelling back and forth to the UK and create financial havoc for their families in the UK.
How anyone thinks that the blatent bare faced lies and false promises being made by this cabinet are acceptable is just mind boggling.
There are none as blind as those who will no see.!!
The Scottish court decision will be irrelevant if things go as we hope today and over the next few days.
More Carry On episodes coming up. 🎆🎉
Now, wait for it !!!

The things that stands out for me since his premiership started is his refusal to answer questions by waffling on about other things, his dishonesty through repeated lies (He doesn't seem to be able to help himself), his duplicity by threatening to expel members of his own party for not supporting government policy when in fact he was guilty of the same under Therese May.
I could go on but won't. The election of this man to Prime Minister with all his character flaws just demonstrates how low the bar has fallen in terms of entry to what is supposed to be the highest office in the land. At its current setting even Philip Green would be eligible
What is sad is that a younger generation looking for role models in our public service may conclude that dishonesty and deceitfulness are now acceptable traits to be followed.

On a blog that I follow he is now referred to as LBJ - Lying Barsteward Johnson.
-
Is Dominic Cummins related to Tommy Robinson. ???
Same attitude and foul mouth. He was the last one Boris should have working fo him.
PS. I thought Jeremy Corbyn looked and sounded more like a PM should in his reply last nite.

Ok, so we all now know your allegiance and we (with open minds) will wait for the "evidence" and "secret plots" to emerge and see what happens in the next few days.
WE live here in Spain and if Halloween turns out to be a nightmare then the UK deserves all it gets :dunno:
-
Nice one AnnieM, hopefully Bojo the clown will exit the Westminster circus ring real soon.
-
3 votes and 3 defeats for LBJ , Lords didnt take long to agree .
Must be a record for a new PM, even the dog hasnt settled in yet and may soon be on the move again.
Boris to make one of his speeches to the nation later today promising
anything that might get him out of the hole he dug for himself.
He cant quote Churchill having just shamelessly sacked his grandson.
Dont be surprised if there is a Red Bus in Downing Street !!
PS. Doreen , leaked document today ,. Britain considering a plan for common food and agriculture policy in all of Ireland which effectively means a border down the Irish sea and no border on land.
Arlene of the Union must be choking on her cornflakes ( hopefully )

Drax... the Edinburgh Case is going to Appeal.

Although I believe he is a rank bad P.M. I still think the odds are still in his favour in winning the next election.
The opposition is divided and will be fighting each other for votes, which will allow Johnson to squeeze through.

Boris brother Jo Johnson has now also resigned. When the family desert you then times are really bad.
Its now 4 defeats in as many votes .
Appeal case in Edinborough ongoing with other cases in London and Belfast.
Bet they now wish they had taken the deal May agreed with the EU.
Rock on Boris.

I think it just demonstrates to most of us how bad this Prime Minister is for the country when his brother, who should know him far better than us, deserts him.
Always wondered how Rachael and Jo Johnson could have such a dysfunctional man as Boris as a brother.

Asked by an interviewer earlier if Boris would do as Parliament wants and ask the EU for an extension he said he " would rather be dead in a ditch " !!
I've asked my pals in Mc Alpines to go round and dig it deep . 😂😂
-
I’m sure that can be arranged! 😂😂😂

-
Annie, Rees - Moggy branded the SNP. " Timorous Beasties " that might come back to bite him on the ass methinks if he can stay awake long enough 😂

Let’s hope so Raymondo. 😄🏴
