Interesting as I thought it had been warmer this past year and dryer. Yet these figures show about the same for Somontin.
-
I was surprised at how little it varied

Interesting that, give a few degrees, we all had the same trajectory in high, low and wet....

Fascinating that there is more rain through out in the summer than in winter months....
-
Monthly averages. Most of us have had more rain already than we had all last year. Attached PDF will be easier to read

Thanks Judi! I find these fascinating....

Me too - we are weird

Speak for yourself.. I maintain it's everyone else who is a tad off kilter, not me
-
:cheesy:
-
I keep spreadsheets from the figures I send to Judi and have the average high and low for each month along with the total rainfall so I can compare Partaloa year by year so I must be odd too!
-
Yup! I'd say you also qualify for the weirdo weather nuts club!

Yippee!

The annual rainfall for me in Somontin has been a big surprise to me as I seem to get virtually none...
-
Your highest, my second highest, mostly earlier in the year. I think the campo has been greener than most years. There is a place off the railway track that I call The Blasted Heath, there have been years when it has been just dust, not this year. I haven't seen any Ibex at all. They only venture near us two legged beings when they desperately need food, there was plenty in the hills this year - same with the boar. There are, though, more rabbits than I have ever seen here
-
Yes, mine was mostly in early months and, apart from the odd time when I've been in cloud, there's been virtually nothing since. I did seem to need the hose more times this year.

This is only half a year - look at the rainfall comparisons!!!

-
I think the spring rains this year went on for longer and were wetter, which cause the longest spring flowering season. The stunning vegetation back then is now the deadest and deadliest fire hazard in the over 18 years I've been here. It scares me to think some unthinking person may throw a lit cigarette out of a car window or a piece of broken glass could ignite the campo so we'd get the same wildfires which are burning elsewhere..
-
True, very worrying
-
Indeed, if everyone was as wise as Frankie we wouldn't have half of the problems with fires in the campo, the sun doesn't combust dried grass, it takes a 3rd party to initiate.
-
A Spanish friend told me yesterday that ALL fires are now banned outside, INCLUDING BBQ's... As far as I know that's a first and the man who told me said he didn't think they'd been banned before...
Oh, and Drax, no one has ever called me wise before - lots of other things but wise? Nah!
-
Wow most rain since we started - no wonder the river is running. Also attached as PDF - easier to read
