💨 I was woken up by it around 5am. I am supposed to be doing the AECC walk in support of Spanish Cancer Research today eeeek
-
It's been ferocious up here and the internet stops and starts every few minutes, the gales are obviously blowing my signal down to the coast.
Good luck with the walk, the forecast is 45kph wind but dry
-
Our weather station in Partaloa showed a gust of 72.4 kph at 5:06 this morning, probably the one that woke you Judi
-
The walk is postponed until tomorrow

I have just given up trying to peg washing on the line. Stupid for even thinking it'd be OK anchored down with loads of pegs. NO! It was blowing off as I was putting it up. Pity my tumble dryer is now only working on cold!
I HATE WIND!!!
-
Makes sense to hear that the walk is postponed till tomorrow Judi as it seems a bit silly to put people's safety in danger no matter how good the cause is.
Alboxclima stats this morning registered max. gust wind of 101Km/h at 04.00 this morning.

Pleased to hear that you are ok frankie worried about you and those big trees near to your house.
-
I was determined to stay in bed last night but gave in and sat in chair fully dressed around 2am. Stupid really as it would make no difference, if the trees fell on me, if I was dressed or not! No idea but I do feel safer. I was able to watch most of the debate last night as TV kept going on and off. Same thing this morning and only Sky News is stable.

The walk is postponed until tomorrow
The "moonlight" bicycle race from Albox to Saliente and back was also cancelled last night because of the rain and wind so please don't feel postponing your walk was a one off.
The reason given was safety for the riders => health and safety now seems to rule in Albox

No signs of these ferocious winds dropping up here in Somontin and they are cold winds....
-
Amazing! I have just checked and it seems the winds may have stopped, at least for a few days. Bliss....
