to rejoice

1.  Tras meses de sequía, los residentes del pueblo se regocijaron cuando cuando comenzó a llover.

After a drought that lasted for months, the town residents rejoiced when it started raining.

2.  El abuelo se regocijó al ver a toda la familia junta para su cumpleaños.

The grandfather rejoiced at seeing the whole family together for his birthday.
