My brother-in-law had a car that he had to fill with premium petrol for it to run at optimal performance, but it ended up being too expensive and he sold it.
2. Después de haber analizado los resultados de las encuestas, el senador decidió que era el momento óptimo para postularse para la presidencia.
After analysing the poll results, the senator decided it was the ideal time to run for the presidency.
