In winter, the trees are covered with frost.

2.  La escarcha que cubre el césped durante las noches frías por lo general se derrite a la mañana siguiente.

The frost that covers the grass during cold nights generally melts the next morning.

No recuerdo si tuvimos escarcha aquí el invierno pasado. No hemos tenido ninguno este año.
