Los británicos residentes en España podrán votar en las municipales pese al Brexit

Los Gobiernos de Reino Unido y España han firmado este lunes un acuerdo bilateral para que los españoles residentes en Reino Unido y los británicos que residen en España puedan seguir votando en las elecciones municipales en su localidad de residencia después del Brexit.

The governments of the United Kingdom and Spain have signed a bilateral agreement on Monday so that Spaniards residing in the United Kingdom and Britons residing in Spain can continue voting in municipal elections in their locality of residence after Brexit.

Makes good sense.

Can only hope that all negotiations are dealt with as sensibly.

The fact that we have been told that those who are registered on the padron will continue to get the same benefits as now surely would apply to voting in local elections as well as health care.  So no change then?
