General Discussion / Walk for Life Win Prestigious Award
« Last Post by Judi_bk on 30 Jun, 2024, 02:44:00 pm »
At a lavish awards ceremony in Zurgena to celebrate and recognise companies, people and associations who have made a difference in the regions of Valle del Almanzora and Los Vélez, Walk for Life were presented with a prestigious award.
This annual event was organized by the communications group of La Voz de Almería Cadena SER and Los 40 and it was the first time the two regions have been awarded jointly. There was just one recipient in each of nine categories across both regions.
Walk for Life’s Award was in the category of Associations.
President Irene Lee-Barber and Vice President Claire Harper accepted the award from Arboleas Mayor D. José Juan Ramos Ramos.
In her acceptance speech Claire thanked Arboleas City Council “for the cooperative work they selflessly offer us throughout the year and especially with our annual walk, which is the largest charity fundraising event in our area”. She also thanked “all the local companies that support us continuously” and added, “Our biggest thanks has to go to all the people in our community who get involved in our events and raise an incredible amount of money that allows us to continue to offer support to individuals and families battling cancer. On behalf of all the volunteers of Walk for Life, we would like to say that without the work of everyone it would not be possible to make this great work a reality”.
Walk for Life were nominated by the town Hall and are extremely proud and grateful to receive this recognition.

Is that the Greek God or the 2012 film to which you refer?

We went to look inside the new store next to Aldi this morning, Rossmann, loads of cleaning stuff, personal and household, like a Superdrug.

Quote
Dirk Rossmann GmbH, commonly referred to as Rossmann, is one of the largest drug store chains in Europe with around 56,200 employees and more than 4000 stores. In 2019 Rossmann had more than €10 billion turnover in Germany, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Albania, Kosovo, Spain and Azerbaijan.

More or less everything in German packaging with a sticker on the back in Spanish advising the contents and use. Similar to what the Brit stores are obliged to do with their products.

Didn't see any drugs though, maybe they are under the counter items.. 🤣🤣

Just checked them out - I need colour and most lasers are black and white and expensive for colour.  Also colour laser printers are too big to fit on my shelf.  New Deskjet I think

Forget deskjet or any other jet, very expensive on inks (unless you need colour) - go for a laser printer
I've  a Brother DCP-1612W which is wireless and does over 6,000 pages for a ink cartridge costing 16-20 euros.

I changed the Drum this year, 30 euros which included toner cartridge.
