GRENFELL INQUIRY

There seems to be almost no reporting on UK TV about the revelations in the Grenfell Inquiry.

This is nothing short of a national scandal.

The people involved knew the cladding was unsafe.
They ignored the technical reports.
They deliberately concealed the evidence.

But the people giving evidence have nothing to worry about.
The Government has given then immunity from prosecution.

The same as the cover up following the Titanic disaster.
Most people still believe that over 1500 people died because it was an accident when the ship hit an iceberg.

Actually I watched quite a lot of it on the BBC and it's SO old hat nowadays.. it's nearly as ancient as news about the Titanic.

As someone who worked in the construction industry I am baffled as to how a product with inadequate fire rating was specified, supplied, approved and used.  I mention these 4 stages because somewhere along that line someone or some company has lied.  I was involved in product development with a cladding company and saw our product tested to destruction at Warrington Fire Research and then given it's fire rating in time terms and later approved or not for specific usage.  I have seen inspectors on sites checking fire doors for ratings.  I do not understand how some architect , company ,organisation or government body isn't being charged with corporate manslaughter

My son is  an architect and does a lot of specifying on large projects, many of which are in the UAE, which is on a race to build as many weird and unusual building as possible.  Apparently, if the right hand is greased it is irrelevant whether the product is 100% safe.  Mediocre will do....
Am I being too suspicious that is could explain Grenfell?
