We had plenty yesterday evening and overnight, also a little this morning, so have no wish for any more. According to AEMET could be a bit more to come overnight and tomorrow morning. Roll on Sunday and through next week hopefully back to late summer mode of Tshirt and shorts, I'm too old for an early winter...

PS you have just had a free weather forecast, any complaints please call aemet :cheesy:

They do say be careful what you wish for....  I had 24 ml yesterday in my rain gauge but have been up most of the night due to my house flooding.  Difficult to clear up as it was coming in from the architrave around the windows in kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom.  I'd get some up in one room and would have to go and do another one...  I gave up at just before 5am as I was shattered.  I pushed all the furniture to the other side of the room from the windows and went to bed hoping for the best.  It was still raining when I got up and had to wait for the grader to come and clear some of the road so I could get out.  I could not believe the size of some of the rocks which had come down, pushed by the force of the water.  It was still running as I left.  Took towels into the launderette to get dry and to get some shopping.  When I was driving back home the sky was incredibly black and it was obvious I would get soaked when I arrived home.  I sat in the car for 20mins but could see the waterbutt was flooded so had to check the hose which was supposed to drain it off into the water channel.  It was blocked.  Garden is flooded and I cannot get down to check it as it needs to drain a bit first.  This was the worst it has been in the over 15 years I have lived here...
ENOUGH; NO MORE!!!!!

That’s awful Frankie!  Certainly puts my leaky sun room roof in the shade.

There’s no happy medium in Spain.  We get not a drop for months on end, then get a year’s worth of rain overnight!  I totally agree - SUFFICIENTE!!!

Sadly Annie, looking at the sky and checking the weather for Somontin, i reckon I may be spending another night mopping up.  I hope I can get some sleep first.

Amazing!  Although I had another 75 ml it must have been from a different direction, unless the wood has swollen, keeping rain out, as nothing came inside.  The roads around Olula, Purchena and Fines were worse when I drove through to Albox this morning.  There is a newly opened road to the Museum in Olula and the rain has undermined it.  The digger men must be coining it in...
I doubt I will be watering my garden again until next spring.

Lovely to see the sun again today.  My fancy new washing machine is getting a good run for it’s money and everything is drying beautifully in the warm wind.

Yes, just brought all the towels I used to mop up inside and the next lot are out.
Spanish neighbour seems to think we will get another lot in a couple of days.  Hope he's wrong.

The forecast is for more next weekend, so fingers crossed we’ll get all dried up before that.
