Calida Homes Walking Football team had a tournament this weekend, the Calida Homes Cup between the Calida teams at FC Los Amigos and their challengers, over for the 3rd year, from Blackmore FC- in Essex. Three of the Walk for Life Team attended the after-match celebrations at Miraflores to thank the Calida Homes team for raising more than €800 at the annual walk in May. On hearing about the work of this important local charity the visitors from Blackmore had a collection and donated €210. The W4L girls were deeply moved and reported that they are “Lovely Blokes”. Even Richard said it “had me welling up”.
