Heatwave Alert
« on: 29 Jun, 2020, 04:15:37 pm »
The first summer heat wave will arrive in Almería tomorrow and will leave temperatures in the regions of Levante and Valle del Almanzora that will touch and even reach 40º until Thursday, the day when the heat will begin to subside and disappear completely during the Weekend.

It is a "Saharan warm air attack", as defined today, in an interview for the Cadena SER Levante with the person in charge of the Albox and Almanzora Meteorological Observatory (OMAA), Juan Jesús Maestre.

The expert anticipated that the heat spike will occur the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, the day that the thermometers will mark 40º in some areas of the Almanzora Valley. On Thursday the maximum temperatures will drop, being able to be "between 35º and 40º" or even below 35 degrees, while on Friday the situation will normalise a lot, returning to previous values.

The Almanzora Valley and Levante will be saved, however, from the new heatwave that will hit the south and centre of the peninsula from Sunday.
