Car insurance

I did tell you about the hand break incident.  Well Linea Directs were wonderful, slight scratches sorted, offered a replacement car, no excess, and a full valet within 10 days.  The owners, of the other car are, however, having problems and had, told me that
Last Monday their insurance company phoned me.  He didn't speak English but asked to come and photograph my car.  Well worth a photo now it's, all clean and shiny.  Asked why. They said they wanted to asses the damage.  I told him it was, already repaired.  He sounded surprise
Today the other party phoned to ask me to phone my insurers to try to sort it out as their insurers said mine were refusing to pay.  Seriously folk we, are talking scratches and one reversing light.  I phoned Linea Directs and was told by a very nice lady not to get involved as that was their problem not mine

Their insurer is well known and I have friends who have had poor experiences.  I won't name them on here.  Be careful who you insure with

I've been with Linea Directa since I moved here 16 years ago mainly due to being with Direct Line in UK and thinking it was th same company(wrong).
I have called them out on several occasions when car would not start at home and they have been very prompt, delivering me, plus car to a garage.  I did have 2 quite bad accidents, turning the cars over and writing one off.  One was repaired but it didn't feel right after and I sold it.  The one which was a total right off was taken away while I was at Urgencia being checked over.  I tracked it down to Seron and had a Grua take it to Seat in Albox.  There was no charge and they paid out promptly with no fuss.  There was also no hike in premiums either.

Slightly off topic but, my daughter was involved in a very low speed accident last year. Trying to pull out at a junction, was flashed by a car waiting to enter her road, she pulled out slo, a car overtook that car, and my daughter hit it. About 5 miles an hour. Damage to my daughter’s car cost £80, the other car had a graze on the rear bumper,
Insurance paid out no problem. Came to renew so she shopped around. They wanted to know how much the claim was. Insurance company said £16500!
They had claimed whiplash and personal injury. The insurance company just paid out without even asking my daughter to comment.
Absolutely crazy, and an obvious scam.
This was in Wales

That was just one incident!  I wonder how many others there have been?
