LGTBI Pride Day is approaching and in the municipality of Albox this year will not go unnoticed. The Town Council has decided to clearly position itself in the defence of the rights of gays, lesbians, transsexuals, bisexuals and intersex people by preparing a day of celebrations and public events to commemorate this date.
On July 9, the streets of the municipality will be filled with colour with stilt walkers and jugglers who will tour Albox animating the atmosphere. The Council has also organized a belly dance exhibition and drumming, which will be carried out by the Murcian 'Dakokan', but without a doubt the most striking part of the event promises to be the Drag Queen Parade, a classic in LGTBI celebrations that will be a novelty in Albox.
The celebrations, organized by the Youth Area under the motto 'Albox por la Diversidad', will culminate with the reading of a manifesto in the Plaza Mayor and the performance of the artist 'La Ogra'.
