Had an apricot tree about 3 years and no fruit.  Just foundc2 ...on the floor .  No more on the tree.  Isn't it a bit early for them

No it isn't.  My big one in front of my house used to show quite large fruit by this time of year but they didn't actually ripen until the end of the month.  People used to park outside the house, leap out with a carrier bag, fill it with apricots and drive off.  That was not too bad but when a carload would each have a carrier bag and take the fruit from the lower branches I was not happy.  Next year I picked them all and gave most to friends who made jam etc.  Sadly the tree died a few years ago as the water channel which ran beside it was concreted for some reason so it didn't get the water it needed to produce such incredible fruit.

A bit off topic but we used to put   a bucket of lemons on the road once a week  for people to take a few  until on two occasions  not alone did all the lemons disappear but the bucket as well.    Greedy or what.???
