Walk for Life President, Jean Bircher, has presented The Mayor of Arboleas, Cristobal Garcia Granados, with a calendar and a framed print of the front cover photograph by Chris Pottle.
This is the fourth Walk for Life calendar. And a framed photo of the front cover has been presented to the Mayor every year.
Next year is the 10th anniversary of the start of Walk for life and in that time the charity has helped a lot of people. This has been an unusual year, but the team have continued to offer help and support to people in the area affected by cancer throughout the pandemic and lockdown.
The calendars are just €5 and are on sale at the following locations – ALO Services (Amanda Oakley) in Zurgena; Almeria Homes, Glad Rags Boutique, The Corner Shop, Sol Supermercado, Wavelengths and Colin the Card in Albox. In Arboleas they are at Coviran, Total Entertainment, the AFA Charity shop opposite the Town Hall and in La Cinta at Sol Yoga.
Amanda Oakley is donating an extra €5 for every calendar she sells.
