Mirella Granados, councillor of Arboleas, victim of cancer, has died
She had held the position of Councillor for Urban Planning and Public Works for nine years and was currently in charge of the Tourism and Heritage areas

Almanzora is in mourning. The Arboleas Town Council announced on Monday through its profile on social networks the death of one of the councillors of its government team, Mirella Granados García, due to a cancer diagnosed five years ago and that had worsened in the last twelve months.

After ten years serving as councillor for Urbanism and Public Works as part of the government team, in the last year she had taken charge of the areas of Tourism and Heritage. The City Council reports on its social networks that "in this long shared history, Mirella always knew how to be, in easy moments as well as in difficult ones, giving the best of herself, for her people."

The Mayor of Arboleas, Cristóbal García, has commented to 'Diario de Almería' that "today is a bad day" due to the loss of his partner. "It is a great shame, because she was a very valuable person for all of us," added the town councillor.

Mass will be this afternoon at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
